I have tested, 3 sets of snipers. 2 oofs and one set of inframes. All the rusults where for the better Quote
azreal4 Posted September 22, 2011 Author Report Posted September 22, 2011 (edited) Any idea how much more power the out of frames produce over the inframes ? As in both being the snipers . Edited September 22, 2011 by azreal4 Quote
RadarRacing Posted September 22, 2011 Report Posted September 22, 2011 I'd run Shearer big bores for inframes. There will be a difference between inframes and out of frames. The OOfs will have more torque for sure but inframes can run very well too. . Quote

azreal4 Posted September 22, 2011 Author Report Posted September 22, 2011 Ya I talked to Matt shear a month or so ago and he told me to go with the small bore. My K&T 10mill cub ran really well with the small bores. They were inframes. But have been reading up on the sniper pipes and if the numbers are true then you can't walk away from horsepower. My cub put down 106 horse on race gas, shear small bore inframe's, and 39's for carbs. That was the 3rd pull on a brand new motor. So the math does work out if the snipers do put out 10 more horse than the sheares. That would have put me right about the same number as what passion said they were getting. I was just looking for some current real results from the season this year. Don't mind buying or changing to what works. But dyno's don't always translate into numbers at the track. Quote
camatv Posted September 24, 2011 Report Posted September 24, 2011 Really? Shearer big bores worked like ass on my bike. Shearer small bores work great. thats cause you have a PV motor the valves make all the bottom end in the world. and with small bores ability to overrev and make HP the valves opening up to higher numbers made it all work.
