What wattage?

I've just got a rs stator and trinity timing plate on the cheap, problem is I don't know what wattage the stator is, nor did the guy I got it from. I'm just gonna do my dc conversion and don't wanna fry my 150w trailtech rectifier so does anyone know what size stators rs does or know how you can tell the difference? I have looked on the net and can't find much info, and does rs stand for Ricky stator or the other company ricks stator??

That is a stock stator that has had the ignition side rewound. From the looks of it they used the cheaper wire. The lighting side is still stock. So u basically habe a stock stator..

Thanks, I'm not too worried as I got it for the plate, the stator was practically free. If it's a OEM one I may send it out and get it rewound to a higher output.

 

It's a spare anyway, as my stockers still ok.

 

What brand is yours zilla?

 

And do you get your name back once you've done your efi?

x2, i wouldn't say the wire is cheap, in fact it looks much like the wire i use, and i pay out the ass for it. however, it does not look like they put enough wraps on it, might be just enough for 28 (stock is 29) but it looks like it may be 26, 24, or could be 28, just because it is hard to tell from the pic. i forget the footage off-hand, but the only possible way to get more than 105 watts from a stock stator is by winding the ignition to 4 poles, and winding the lighting to 8 poles. also, stock size lighting side wire is more than enough to get it done.
