jk2paintworx Posted September 2, 2011 Report Posted September 2, 2011 I am installing a new swingarm on a banshee and can not get the large nuts to budge. They are the ones that tighten up on the axel next to the sprocket carrier. I tried using a cheater bar, heat, penetrating lube... They are not rusty or corroded. Just F'n tight. Any tips?? Quote
bansheedude55 Posted September 2, 2011 Report Posted September 2, 2011 when i changed mine i had to hold the tourch on there for atleast 10 mins straight... then some wd40 and it loosened right up... i used a monkey wrench..... lil more leverage for me... but leave a tourch on there for 10 to 15 mins... just dont touch it!! haha Quote

SandmanPNW Posted September 2, 2011 Report Posted September 2, 2011 I used pb blast, a torch and a 36" pipe wrench that I had to jump on to break mine loose. It was a headache for sure. Quote
jonpeter0420 Posted September 2, 2011 Report Posted September 2, 2011 I bought the yamaha wrenches. Used a cheater bar and torched the shit out of them to get them off my bike Quote
vifferman Posted September 2, 2011 Report Posted September 2, 2011 If you end up cutting them off like I did and want another set of stockers let me know. I have 3 sets I'll send you really cheap. Quote
