Dicklez Posted August 16, 2011 Report Posted August 16, 2011 Been having this issue with my left cylinder misfiring. Fresh top end. Comp is good. When i start it with the choke, it fires right up and runs on both cylinders. When i let go of the choke and give it gas, the left cylinder misfires and doesnt run worth a shit. Now ive been through everything twice. Coil was reading high resistance so I replaced it. Still the same. I havent completely rebuild the carbs. Just rejetted and cleaned real good. The choke doesnt stay out just pulls back in. Choke tube is replaced. All TORS is disconnected. Ive run out of my 2stroke know how and need some real banshee advice. I would appreicate and feedback. Jereme6655 Posted August 16, 2011 Report Posted August 16, 2011 are you sure the carb slides are in the correct carbs......they are side specific. The half moon cut out goes towards the rear of the bike.... Quote
lms1977 Posted August 16, 2011 Report Posted August 16, 2011 can you put a cap on the choke tube and switch carbs around and see if the problem goes to the other cyl ? I know you said you cleaned the carbs did you look to make sure the pilot or main is not plugged? I have a set of bored out stockers you can throw on if you think its the carbs. Quote
