weeheavy Posted July 14, 2011 Report Posted July 14, 2011 First post, hello everyone. I have been reading alot of threads and have finally decided to ask for help. Got the whole set up from FAST and am just finishing the assembly. Why are there two longer studs for the head?? Also the eight(i think) shorter studs don't really seem long enough when you put a washer on. Wondering if iv'e done something wrong. Tried to call Jeff at FAST as he has been very helpful but think he may be on vacation. I'm sure you guys have answered this question a million times but i searched for a little while and could not find my answer. Thanks for replies Quote
dirtydownunder Posted July 14, 2011 Report Posted July 14, 2011 the two longer studs go above the exhaust ports. with the 8 other studs, people have used loctite and threaded them in enough to expose more threads. i made lil spacers up so the studs had something to bottom out on. oh, and welcome to BHQ Quote

weeheavy Posted July 14, 2011 Author Report Posted July 14, 2011 (edited) Welcome. And i would second that what he said. Ok, excellent. Wish i would have asked before i ran them all the way in with loctite, but oh well. Curious why they used the longer studs in those locations only. Seems they all need to be a bit longer. Thanks very much guys. Edited July 14, 2011 by weeheavy Quote
