They put the piston in the motor and obviouly didnt get the clip in and it fell out into the motor and ruined his cylinder and they are telling him it is his problem now and they will do nothing. How the hell is that the same as Joe putting his own brake caliper on running it for who knows how long and then burning up his brakes pads and hitting a wall?????? If you cant see the differance there then I dont know what to tell you? Your back pedaling.. 1st.. who's to say it was installed wrong.. you don't KNOW its impossible to prove.. Could have been a faulty part. bad clip... bad channel on the piston You just dont know... Hey.. he might have even been on the street running it for who knows how long..But the mechanic did offer some type of compensation ( which none of us know what it was as it wasn't stated) So your saying.. since he sold a faulty part he's liable for it?? please.. correct me if I'm wrong here??? You can't use installation of the product as that simply can not be proved. Its all heresy You are correct.. Joe did install the caliper.. He didn't make it.. Just as this mechanic didn't make the clip or piston he only sold it. Sooo.. this is just like Joe's situation.. there is no difference.. Your telling this guy to do exactly what Joe is doing..
