Hey guys, changing the oil in my shee and found lots of metal shavings on the magnetic end of the drain plug. Is this pretty typical?

Will post pic from laptop later tonight. Using my phone to start the post.

How do you typically add photos to the posts here? Trying to post the drain plug photo.

Upload the photos to photobucket then copy and paste the "IMG" code to here.

Is this typical? This is the third time I change the oil on it with the magnetic tip plug and just noticed it.

check your clutch fibers.

shavings from a wet clutch are to be expected, especially in something with some hours on it so why tear it apart to look at the clutch fibers unless the clutch is slipping, which i assume it isnt as it was not mentioned?

I guess its time to take the cover off. I replaced the clutch about 30 hours ago and put in three HD springs with the old weaker ones. What do I look for on the clutches? As far as slip goes, the only problem I had with the quad back when I replaced the clutch was a friend put in car motor oil instead of the special wet clutch oil and ran it for about half an hour until the clutch was no longer gripping. He called me and I picked my quad up, I drained the oil out and ran the quad for two full cycles (half hour each) to flush the stuff and get the clutch to grip again. I hadnt checked it since...I hope its not terminal
