It's getting good spark, can't test comp because my gauge is broken, reeds and all gaskets seem good. Problem, when I start it, it won't let me set the idle, if I rev it up it'll start revving very high. The mag key is Mia so I just lined the mag up and impacted it so I can get it running until the key shows up I ordered. It's pretty close to lined up perfect so I don't know if the smallest bit off will cause this? Quote
bansheesandrider Posted July 4, 2011 Report Posted July 4, 2011 What were you thinking putting a flywheel on without a key? You are just begging to screw something up. DO NOT RUN that thing until you get a key for it. It sounds like if the key is not the problem then you either are jetted very lean or have an air leak, do a leakdown test. This is a classic example of doing things half assed and causing more problems. Quote

I didn't intend on riding the bike I just lined up the flywheel and impacted it to see if it ran good seeing as I never heard this motor run. You're right though, if it wasn't a spare bike I just slapped together and was my main bike I have money invested in I'd be more careful Quote
