bansheemayhem Posted June 30, 2011 Report Posted June 30, 2011 Hi all, im new to banshees, just bought a 04 Banshee with a blown engine, the engine is bored .50 thou over. Im going to rebuild it, needs crank and pistons. It has port&polish, and full fmf pipes. He says he didnt touch the jetting when he bored it out, so im guessing thats why it blew up? Maybe im wrong. Could someone please give me some jetting instructions for having the pipes, port and polish, egine bored out .50thou over, uni filter and boyesen reeds. Any input would be greatly appreciated as i dont want to put all kinds of money into the quad and have it blow up on me. Quote

If you haven't torn it apart yet do a leakdown test first, it may point to cause. http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=99361 check this thread out to find a simular set-up to get you close. Do you have stock carbs? What style FMFs? What style of porting? Just adding new bore shouldn't need jetting change, but that doesn't mean it was correct to start with . List what your jetting was.
