Alright, So I'm looking to plan out what I am going to do with my banshee motor and attempt to get the best performance while still running pump 93 gas (don't really want to run race fuel due to the prices, and this is more of a fun bike, not a full blown race bike). Anyway I'm trying to set my banshee up for aggressive trail and some MX track play. I know suspension is key and that is coming first, but I figured in the mean time I may be able to plan the motor build and maybe buy some parts in the process.

To begin with, I want to get my crank trued and welded mainly for longevity, and was thinking of going with a long rod setup just to increase reliability. But pretty much I have a clean slate with my build on where I can go. I do know I want to run pro circuit pipes, as they are what I already have and many people on here have said they are a good all around pipe. What else could I do to compliment them? And yes I will be getting the motor ported as well. I'm looking to build this motor as a matched package (I know that if you just buy parts and mix match the results will be less than desired).

Thanks

the best thing to do is to give one of our site sponsors a call.....they are banshee gods. i have personally dealt with jeff at F.A.S.T. (farmandsandtoys.com) and he is an awsome guy......GREAT guy to deal with. i also have heard that kevin at herr jugs is really good as well. Talk to them and explain to them what you want the bike to do.

if money isn't an issue i would suggest gettings a +4mil crank and a serval cylinder setup and larger carbs. it will still run on pump gas and if setup correctly can achieve almost 85 hp while still retaining a good powerband throughout any throttle position.

or you could go with a little less power and get a +4mil crank and have your current cylinders ported to the +4 crank which should net around 70hp.

if that's still more than you want (money or power) then you can get your crank trued/welded and get a play/dune port and you should be able to hit around the 60-62hp range.
