bfranz67 Posted May 13, 2011 Report Posted May 13, 2011 Just a question. Do most of you use an inline fuel filter?? And if so any recommendations or are they all the same?? Any help would be great. Just had my carbs apart 5 times in the last week and the pilot jets were plugged 3 times. must be some junk in the tank or something. Thanks in advance Quote
Zwiser Posted May 13, 2011 Report Posted May 13, 2011 there not desighned to run inlines, but people put them on for added protection. Did you clean your petcock in awhile? Quote
fastbanshee8 Posted May 13, 2011 Report Posted May 13, 2011 I used to run one, until I installed some 34mm Mikuni carbs, and it cut down the fuel flow so much, that I was running the bowls almost dry. I took it out. Quote

lincster Posted May 13, 2011 Report Posted May 13, 2011 I have always run an inline fuel filter on my shee. Never had any issue with running the bowls dry. I change it once a season. If you ever have seen what is floating in the air on Thanksgiving weekend at Glamis as you are filling your tank, you would run a filter also. I don't care what is in the tank, it isn't rated down to 10 microns like an inline filter is. Quote
