the end of last season i put in a k&n filter and ever since i have a low end bog i went from 270 or 280 mains to 310's since i have dropped down to 300's, plugs look perfect but i cant figure out this bog. i have the needles on the middle clip also any help would be appreciated

i dropped it down one clip which helped it stay idleing better but didnt go any further yet. ill try another slip today and see if thaat helps. any other suggestions

You need to adjust your pilots and or air screws.

 

Needles have most affect between 1/2 to 3/4 throttle. Mains have most affect between 3/4 to WFO.

 

mine will sit and idle all day, but still has low and bog. should i still plan on adjusting the needle?

That worked much better but now im only half a turn out on the pilot screw, should I move up one size and try again

 

Does it get better when you go clockwise or counter clockwise on the air screws?

 

Clockwise is richer, counter clockwise is leaner.

basically if i tighten it all the way i would only be a half turn out right now and there is no bog
