lilcrayton101 Posted April 28, 2011 Report Posted April 28, 2011 So I just traded a z400 for a 01 banshee guy said all that was wrong with it was the throttle cable snapd I changed that the oil put some fresh gas and plugs in it and tryd to start it it won't start... unless I push start it then after a few laps around the yard and its warm I can kick it no prob?? Any ideas Quote

Any ideas Sounds like its time for a top end rebuild. They get hard to start when the top end gets worn out. They will also get hard to start if your jetting is off. Get yourself a compression tester and check your compression. Pull the carbs off and take them apart and clean them and see what jets you've got in there. Any ideas check your reeds,see if theres a gap at the ends if so see if you could flip them around to correct.or just replace Quote

If you turn them around and start flexing them in the opposite direction they will snap off. If they are out of spec, buy new ones. Quote
