Well, I have a stock banshee and this weekend I put Pro Circuits on it. I have a jet kit to change the mains as I was told this is all I would need to do with this setup, but the quad is running fine as is. It has stock jetting, and is smoking even more so now then it was with the stock pipes (it wasn't smoking that much at all with the stock pipes on). I have the stock airbox setup and am wondering if I even need to change the mains? I was going to put new plugs on it, and do a plug chop to see but it seems fine. In the future I want to get the pro design air filter, but I still want to run the airbox lid because I don't like all kinds of dust and what not getting to my filter. Any help is appreciated

As a rule of thumb, anytime you adjust the air flow of the motor, in or out you should be re-jetting! Whats your elevation? With that there are tons of ppl around here that can get you wicked close to the proper jetting...

I'm in Austin as well, so not far above sea level. The thing is the bike seems to be a tad richer after changing the pipes which doesn't make sense. It should have leaned it out some.

Agreed....throw new plugs at it and do a plug chop.

Well, I rejetted to a 290 main as was recommended by a member a while back. The quad is WAY too rich. We looked at the plugs after doing a pass on the stock mains, and there was hardly any color change. So a 200 main is too lean, and a 290 is too rich. What size would you all recommend I try next?

290 is way fat with a lid,do you still have the snorkel?if not 240 main, with snorkel try240 but might need 230

I have the lid on it, I want to always try and run a lid. I know it robs horsepower, but I don't like my filter being exposed. Can I find 230's and 240's on ebay? I'm wondering where I can get the mains by themselves. Also, how many different ones do you guys think I should get? I want to make sure I get the right ones, and we were thinking a 220 to a 230 so i'm glad you threw out that number

Come on guys, where can I get the mains by themselves? Where does everyone on here buy jets when they're buying them individually?
