robert.b.west Posted March 29, 2011 Report Posted March 29, 2011 I would say most likely an air leak. Quote
jonvia Posted March 29, 2011 Author Report Posted March 29, 2011 I would say most likely an air leak. in the carbs? with the jets? or what would be possible? Quote
jonvia Posted March 29, 2011 Author Report Posted March 29, 2011 but once it is warmed up, it does fine. should i try cleaning the carbs? or changing the plugs? or just do all of the above along with an air check. its not a bad backfire, but it still does it and i know thats not good haha Quote
armyvet Posted April 1, 2011 Report Posted April 1, 2011 Mine did that after a rebuild and i was trying to dial jetting in since i had changed so many things at once.I was still lean on the mains and i ended up going a bit richer on the air screws.poping is USUALLY a lean condition from jetting or air leaks.Make sure plugs are tight too Quote
