robert.b.west Posted March 26, 2011 Report Posted March 26, 2011 There are two weld beads that have to be cut. I have done it with an angle grinder with a cut off wheel. There are also 1-3 spot welds that could be drilled out or just take the cutoff wheel and cut between the shock mount and the headlight bracket. Quote

There are also spot pinch welds on the flat area of the brackets that have to be drilled to get them loose. Quote
BigRed350x Posted March 26, 2011 Report Posted March 26, 2011 If the old frame isn't going to be used in the future, chop the whole shock mount/light bracket thing off, clean it up and just weld it onto the other frame. Quote

bigblockbanshee Posted March 28, 2011 Report Posted March 28, 2011 Why don't you just have some mounts made for it to cradle the stock headlights (if that's what you're running) and that clamp onto the frame? I'd rather do that but to each their own. I think Trailtech does something similar but I think it only works with their "torch" lights. Quote
