VictorK Posted March 8, 2011 Report Posted March 8, 2011 Just put on 28mm mikuni flat slides today. The jets that came in them are 40/350, I'm about 700ft asl and mods are t5s, 20cc domes, mid top port, rad valves and k&n filter. if anyone has this set up what jets work for you and if anyone knows jetting well what's your opinion. I didn't even get to ride it yet with the 28mm carbs so I'm just trying to get a general idea of what I'm dealing with before I actually get to the tuning. Quote

You have to make sure the float levels are set right and they have the right nozzles in them. As well as the right size needles, slide cutout, etc..... Pilot Jet 25 Main jet 370-380 Needle 2nd from top 175 P4 nozzle Slide cutout 2.5 5L1 needle float height 22mm Air screw at 1 turn out Needle seat at 2.5 Quote

How do I determine slide cut out? are the stock carb jets interchangeable? Quote
Snopczynski Posted March 9, 2011 Report Posted March 9, 2011 the nozzle is the thing the needle slides into. the slide cutout is stamped into the slide. If your asking that stock banshee jets will work in the carb, yes, but only the main jets will work. Quote
VictorK Posted March 9, 2011 Author Report Posted March 9, 2011 Thanks bro I have to see how my carbs are currently set other then the jets..... the nozzle is the thing the needle slides into. the slide cutout is stamped into the slide.
