yamahaBanshee01 Posted March 1, 2011 Report Posted March 1, 2011 So, this morning i started my shee.. everything is fine warms up and everything. once you put it in to gear and start riding. engine coolant start to drip out under my quad. i examine and followed the tube from the coolant tank and don't see it leaking anywhere. i go to the floor and look under my quad and towards the middle the coolant is dripping off of two bolts... no coolant is around or near it and i cannot for the life of me find out where this coolant is coming from. this only happens and leaks after the bike is in motion not when it is still or even started up.. any ideas or help would be much appreciated.. for the weather is getting so nice out and i want to ride again. thank you -Danny Quote

Like the motor mounts? Do you have the reservoir bottle still or no? Quote
Jereme6655 Posted March 1, 2011 Report Posted March 1, 2011 are you sure its coolant? if it is then also look around the head....there are a few holes i believe that can allow liquid to drain from the top of the engine cases through the holes and out the bottom of the motor. Quote
yamahaBanshee01 Posted March 2, 2011 Author Report Posted March 2, 2011 if the resevoir bottle is under the seat than yes i still have it, i traced the tube from there and no liquid is leakin on on runnin on the side of the tube. and the two bolts are small and near the oil drain hole. Quote
theshee Posted March 2, 2011 Report Posted March 2, 2011 you need to check the reservoir to make sure it isnt coming from there, then check all the main hoses on the motor. Ive had them crack and leak, the one i had do it was the one that runs up the backside of the cylinders and turns and goes to the water pump. I would bet somewhere on that hose a clamp is loose or cracked. Quote
