bansheemandan Posted February 3, 2011 Report Posted February 3, 2011 hi, i have a question about a long rod 4mm setup, what is best to use, spacer under cylinders or stroker domes Quote
gotta_goatsfast Posted February 4, 2011 Report Posted February 4, 2011 Domes... to really make a difference have the cylinders ported for the extra stroke. IMO never use a spacer plate. An extra place to leak. Quote
crustydemon Posted February 4, 2011 Report Posted February 4, 2011 You also have the option of the spacer for your head but still need the porting. Your way better off just getting a aftermarket head with domes cut for a 4 mill or a stock head that has been rechambered. I would never mess with a spacer. Quote

An extra place to leak. X2. Hit up a sponsor on here...most can cut domes for your application. Brandon and Shay from Wildcard Racing are great to deal with Quote
FASTOYS Posted February 4, 2011 Report Posted February 4, 2011 We have built both but prefer the cut domes and ported cyls for 4mm. To see much gain out of a 4mm , you really need the cyls. ported, then you will have a BIG smile on your face ! Quote
sstaton1983 Posted February 4, 2011 Report Posted February 4, 2011 not much gain on 4 mill without porting.i could tell it had more low end grunt though. Quote
