so i decided to do the DC conversion and add some HID's and what-not.. i tinkered around and made this battery box.. this is the best spot for my bike since i run a stock airbox.. gonna powdercoat it black and call it good.. the baterry you see in the box is a lot shorter than the battery i will be using... i still need to make a bar or something to keep the battery in.. the box is a little oversized since im going to wrap the battery in foam.. so what ya think?

alright.. im moving right along.. so far i will say this step was the hardest part.. i wouldn't call it hard but you have to be careful and take your time.. floating the ground on the stock stator.. here it is2011-02-02_13-10-37_797.jpg2011-02-02_13-37-13_265.jpg

Floating the ground is always the biggest PITA IMO. I've done the conversion on a couple banshees as well. I like to use the regulator/rectifier from street bike wiring harnesses. They handle the heat/abuse better than any of the banshee ones I've found online.

yea.. i ordered the trail tech rect/reg says its good to 150w.. so i hope so .. i ordered a 10ah battery.. hopefully its a mod worth doing once done.. i am more concerned about the tranny i have.. stock with every other dog removed.hoping there isnt a noticable backlash
