banshee 268 Posted January 20, 2011 Report Posted January 20, 2011 is it possible or sound like it could be this.i have my jetting at 50piolet and 190 mains.its 16 degress and when i try to go to the top end it seems to break up.im thinking its a jetting issue but maybe it could be this.im not sure so any help would be great.i have the stock plug boots and was wondering if this could cause this problem if they are bad. Overboost Posted January 20, 2011 Report Posted January 20, 2011 what carbs? because a 50 pilot is HUGE, 16 degrees is ridiculous and if you have some PWK carbs, 50 is about right but 190 is WAY fat, I run 160 mains on my 4 mil with a 45 pilot first, if you truly are at 16 degrees, change it. try 4 Quote
banshee 268 Posted January 20, 2011 Author Report Posted January 20, 2011 sorry i got 35 pwk and yes its 16 degress and thats not the low either i dont get what you mean by change it to 4 Quote
Overboost Posted January 20, 2011 Report Posted January 20, 2011 (edited) hehe, I thought you meant 16 degrees of timing... never mind that part... set your pilot to 45 and your mains to 165, give that a shot but I wouldnt go much lower than that, 165 should solve yer problem in 16 degree temps, mine is jetted for 75 degrees and like I said, I run a 160 main on a 4 mil Edited January 20, 2011 by Overboost Quote
banshee 268 Posted January 20, 2011 Author Report Posted January 20, 2011 have you ever heard of spark plug boots causing it to break up on the top or would it affect it all the time Quote
