Going from Alky to Gas

I have some 39 PWKs and my buddy has a set of 35s and they are both set up for alky with power jets

 

I have no idea how to get them to gas

 

I know to change the jets but what about the powerjet?

 

Also his is a 4mil stock cyl. with CPI inframes and +4 timing and we are at 5,300ft elev

 

What would be good jets for him

wanna just sell the 39's? you can buy some gas 39's and save some headache. send me a pm if you decide too.

You are going to need new carbs once the kehins dump tube is drilled for alky it is stuck a alky carb

Munki and lectron can go back to gas though

Hate to tell ya, but the keihin carbs can't be swapped back to gas once they are set up for alky. The only way it can be done is if you have a seperate set of carb internal bodies you can unbolt and swap out, but to get the internal carb bodies you pretty much have to a second set of carbs set up for gas, which would make swapping the internal bodies a total waste of time.

 

The powerjets you could just close up if they haven't been drilled out. Some builders drill out the dump tube on the poerjets a little bigger, which doesn't let them ever totally seal up.

 

Long story short... you can't swap them back to gas.
