official_style Posted December 28, 2010 Report Posted December 28, 2010 i have a friends banshee that is driving me nuts. it started as a stock 01 with low hours, perfect compression. i intalled a billet timing plate at +4, cfm airbox, TORS kit, toomey t5s, the long needles that came with the toomeys are on the 3rd clip. 27.5 pilots and 300 mains. bike is stock other than that. i have done this same install on both my bikes and they scream. so this bike now will run fine till it hits a certain rpm, then will kind of bog out and backfire from the right side. (sitting on bike) so far i have re checked the timing plate, checked the sybc on the carbs which is dead perfect, tested the stator and coil, checked the fuel lines, the hose that connects the 2 carbs and probably more. can you all help me out with what i can check to get this thing running right please! we were supposed to go riding in the snow today and instead spent the whole day trying to get this thing running. also, for running this setup when it is like 30 degrees out, should 330 mains be fine?
