crazy13 Posted December 4, 2010 Report Posted December 4, 2010 I always wanted to know do banshees need to have a cool down point because they are 2 stroke? is that true Quote
robert0762 Posted December 4, 2010 Report Posted December 4, 2010 As long as you keep air flowing through the radiator they will stay cool Quote
Jereme6655 Posted December 4, 2010 Report Posted December 4, 2010 Well....they ARE liquid cooled.....but they are not assisted by a fan. so as long as your tuned correctly and you keep moving (ie keeping air flowing through the radiator like rob said) then you should be totally fine. However if you just let it sit there and idle it WILL actually raise the temperature to a dangerous point if ideling way too long. The banshees need the air-flow to stay in operating temps. Quote
crazy13 Posted December 4, 2010 Author Report Posted December 4, 2010 (edited) As long as you keep air flowing through the radiator they will stay cool Oh ok i have a raptor 660 and i kno i has a fan in it. my brother has a 400ex and it doesnt have te fan so i guess it is air cooled like a banshee? i was gonna get a banshee then some one told me they needed to be cooled down and you couldnt ride them as long as a 2 stroke so i got the 4 stroke. ( always wanted the 2 stroke power lol) Edited December 4, 2010 by crazy13 Quote

Yea that happens with my raptor when i let it sit and runing it will overheat. Quote

derekr8885 Posted December 4, 2010 Report Posted December 4, 2010 Yea that happens with my raptor when i let it sit and runing it will overheat. 400exs are oil cooled (thats what honda calls it)and banshees are not air cooled there liquid cooled Quote
Jereme6655 Posted December 4, 2010 Report Posted December 4, 2010 hey crazy....are you sure your fans working correctly? because your raptor should not be overheating because the liquid-cooled fan assistance should be enough to keep it at a decent temp at idle Quote
