Well....they ARE liquid cooled.....but they are not assisted by a fan. so as long as your tuned correctly and you keep moving (ie keeping air flowing through the radiator like rob said) then you should be totally fine. However if you just let it sit there and idle it WILL actually raise the temperature to a dangerous point if ideling way too long. The banshees need the air-flow to stay in operating temps.

Oh ok i have a raptor 660 and i kno i has a fan in it. my brother has a 400ex and it doesnt have te fan so i guess it is air cooled like a banshee? i was gonna get a banshee then some one told me they needed to be cooled down and you couldnt ride them as long as a 2 stroke so i got the 4 stroke. ( always wanted the 2 stroke power lol)

no a banshee is not air cooled. it is liquid cooled just doesn't have a fan to help keep cool.

a 400ex is air cooled . no coolant no radatitor

a raptor is the same as a banshee just with a fan to help cool it down, because they figure if you own a four stroke you will be going to slow to move enuogh air though the rad to keep it cool so they added a fan.lol

hey crazy....are you sure your fans working correctly? because your raptor should not be overheating because the liquid-cooled fan assistance should be enough to keep it at a decent temp at idle
