smith Posted October 24, 2010 Report Posted October 24, 2010 I cant seem to get these carberators dialed in. I just got the bike about a month ago it was not running right so I rebuilt it got it back together. The bike was runnig really rich because the floats were set wrong. I set them to 19 mm now it seams to be running lean. Im running 155 mains and 45 on the pilot with the needle in the middle position. The bike will not idle, and when you let of the throttle it wont idle down right away. I have been playing with this thing for a month now. Any help would be appreciated. Quote

Anybody have any thoughts?? yeah i could be an air leak, or the floats/ jetting. normally in the airleaks ive seen, the bike will try to rev itself till it blows up. you could also have a slide hanging up. this could be from a dirty/ bent needle. if you havent solved the problem yet (i know this is WAY late) but id get a rebuild kit with new needle to be safe ya know???
