AKheathen Posted October 12, 2010 Report Posted October 12, 2010 Dude i got a banshee and 4 days later it blew up!!! I didnt even get 15hrs outta it.. Guy said it had 180lbs of compression.. My ass!! I should just tore it apart from the get go.. Cant take many peoples word on anything anymore.. But just rebuilt it right!!! Once i get her rebuilt.. She will be tore apart every winter make sure shes good !!!!!!! he was probably hinting at what fuel to run, lol do your leak-down first, as mentioned, then start pulling it down in stages. it could be a crank bearing, broken reed, flywheel, pto gearing, blown head gasket(more common than you think on a fresh top-end) you never know for sure untill you actually see what happened. She will be tore apart every winter make sure shes good !!!!!!! ibought my shee from a guy said it only had a few hours on the new motor and was only ridden three times and stuff like that rode a half hour and the motor blew had giant holes in both pistons.... you can never believe what someone says about what your buyin from them..... next time i buy one i will be tearin the motor down to see exactlly what has been done to it before its ridden... blow ups can be costly Quote
