zachmw Posted September 27, 2010 Report Posted September 27, 2010 Im looking for a epoxy or something to fix a hole in my tank. I tried some stuff that held for a weekend then the fuel and oil got to it. The hole is exactly the size of a .22 cal. bullet, also had a hole in the radiator and rear fender, but those are fixed. Does anyone know of anything that will work, or should I start looking for a new tank? Zack Quote
SAVAGE420 Posted September 27, 2010 Report Posted September 27, 2010 MMMM beer and guns Try the 2 part. But if it was me i would just grab a new tank for 20 bux all day long on here and the bay! Quote
crash&burn Posted September 27, 2010 Report Posted September 27, 2010 I would try going to the local parts store and ask for a gas tank hole repair kit i have seen them on the shelves before at my parts store the ones i have seen are some sort of epoxy stuff...... if not i would get a silicone that is made for using on engines put that in the hole then get a plastic epoxy and put that over the silicone and that should work to..... look for stuff that works with petroleum products cause gas works well as a solvent and will eat alot of epoxys that are not petroleum safe... or just buy a new tank Quote
AKheathen Posted September 27, 2010 Report Posted September 27, 2010 yah, don't fuck around trying to scab it closed.....new tank. cheap and reliable. Quote
zachmw Posted September 30, 2010 Author Report Posted September 30, 2010 The only stuff that will work for fuel wont stick to plastic. New/used tank on the way. now no spark, shoot it a couple times and it starts fucking with me. I replaced the radiator Quote
