Can any one tell me if this set in my 28mm mikuni's up would be a good starting point for my bike.

Bike: 2000 shee, dune ported cylinders .10 over wiseco pistons, T5 pipes, cool head with 19cc domes, v-force2 reeds, stock intakes with 3/4" spacers and 6 degrees on the timing. I run 98 pump gas mixed 40:1 with R-50

whats in the carbs right now.

slide cut away; 2.5

needle; 5L1

needle jet; 175 P4

pilot jet; 30

main jet 330

All so can these carbs be bored over to 30mm?

they can be bored. Thats close for the setup. There is a thread on here for exacts. If its sea level I would put a bigger main in.

OOPS in right at 4900' above sea level.

I've read a bunch of threads on 28's but it seems they all end in questions on what needles or needle jets are in them and the original poster never gets back to the tread.

sorry I let this slide for so long but I'm back with more questions.I have no idea what these carbs came off of but instead of having brass inlets they have these.

the inlets are fairly small next to a stock banshee's

They do have a 2.5 seat in them but I'm kinda scared there wont be enough flow threw the inlets. Can those be removed and replaced with the right sized brass ones? are they just pressed over the stock brass ones?
