wayno.banshee Posted August 27, 2010 Report Posted August 27, 2010 Have had it for two weeks goes awsome but today found gearbox oil runing out of the crankcase breather tube all over RH expansion chamber. Could this be because the RH crank seal is leaking and pressurising the gearbox oil and forcing it up the tube. If so how hard is it to replace the seal Quote
Larry's Shee Posted August 27, 2010 Report Posted August 27, 2010 Welcome to BHQ !! First off check your oil level. Is it high or low? Is oil good looking or milky? How's rad level? Generaly speaking bad seal lwould suck oil into cyl causing excess smoking. How much oil you talking? Replacing seal would require pretty much complete disassembly. Quote
sheefreak Posted August 27, 2010 Report Posted August 27, 2010 I have seen a slipping clutch heat up the the tranny fluid and boil over out the breathers. Something else to check. Quote
wfobasheeboy Posted August 27, 2010 Report Posted August 27, 2010 welcome to HQ Bro! I had the same thing happen to me when I first got my shee from the last owner. The trans was over filled. I drained the fluid out and refilled to the full line. I have not had it blow out the vent yet. Quote
wayno.banshee Posted August 27, 2010 Author Report Posted August 27, 2010 THANKS for the welcome will start with changing the oil this morning and go for a blast. Fingers crossed hey Quote
