alf44 Posted August 12, 2010 Report Posted August 12, 2010 Your problem junior is your to negative and think you no it all. Were trying to help you here but you NEVER listen to our advice. I guarantee if you pulled the motor out and put the whole roller for sale for a decent fair price and waited a bit you would sell it. Your not patient enough though to do that. That is why you are never happy with the things you buy. Like your pipes. You get all wound up and wast money trying them all cause some one said there good. We have all been around and been doing this longer than you have. We kinda know what were talking about and what were doing. Hell if I had an extra grand or so I would buy your roller. There nice to have for parts or for projects. Again I just think your getting in a hurry again and your going to regret it. You've got one of the better bikes you will proly ever have and you want to dump it instead of changing domes and riding it. Doesn't make any sense. Shoot me a pm and some pics of your blue one. I'll help you part it or sell it as a roller. I'd like to see you get the cub motor u want and I'd like to help u build it or get parts for you to build it yourself. Your not going to get there the way your trying though man. You no how to reach me if you want some help bud. Quote
ELKARACING_SHEE Posted August 12, 2010 Author Report Posted August 12, 2010 So how did you find out it was not a 4mil? Sell the blue one, and build up the red bike into a cub. Looking through all these posts, you make Zero sense homie. sent alf pictures, and it doesnt have those spacers between the cyl and the cases or something, but were still not 100%sure if its a 4mil or just ported bike Quote
SAVAGE420 Posted August 12, 2010 Report Posted August 12, 2010 I just seen the post on kijiji for sale and you say its a ported 350 though.... Your ad sounds kinda misleading. I mean there is no way there's 10 grand in it and to sell something its a must to list out Everything thats done to it or on it and know 100% so the next guy don't get all pissed off. Just saying. I mean, through all your posts with it, you don't know if it's a 4 mill or a 350 or 35's or 33's and so on. It's time to just grab the good old 12mm wrench and pull the head off and see what the real deal is. THEN post your add when you know 100% about the whole bike so the next guy will know if you end up selling it that is. http://calgary.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehicles-ATVs-snowmobiles-ATVs-CUSTOM-BUILD-BANSHEE-ALL-CHROMED-OUT-SICK-BIKE-W0QQAdIdZ223197559 Quote

DallasGDub Posted August 12, 2010 Report Posted August 12, 2010 sent alf pictures, and it doesnt have those spacers between the cyl and the cases or something, but were still not 100%sure if its a 4mil or just ported bike we explained how to check this in the other thread. We can even go into more detail if you just ask. Even in that thread you were not trying to hear it. Do whatever. But you wont get far unless you are willing to learn. man wtf for real. Quote

Coupelx Posted August 12, 2010 Report Posted August 12, 2010 torco additive is the only true "octane booster". its well known in the car world. the only issue is it cost almost what race gas does. do some research. your mileage may vary. take the advice here. Quote
dirtydownunder Posted August 12, 2010 Report Posted August 12, 2010 never liked octane boosters, they are more of a band aid solution if you can even call it a solution. can you get avgas at all ? Quote
mopar1rules Posted August 12, 2010 Report Posted August 12, 2010 Octane boosters lables are misleading. They say that 1 bottle added to 10-12 gallons of fuel raises octane 6-8 points. What they dont tell you is that it takes 10 points to go up 1 octane number. It would take a lot of bottles of octane booster to get to 105. Race fuel is the best octane booster. If you blended 3 gallons of 91 octane with 1 gallon of 110 octane you would have 95.75 octane fuel. Now compair how many bottles of octane booster it would take vs the price of 1 gallon of race fuel. Awesome!! I give two thumbs up, for giving a TRUE accurate description of octane boosters. Finally someone gave the real low down on octane boosters. Quote
06specialedition Posted August 12, 2010 Report Posted August 12, 2010 Dude why dont you just put some 20cc domes in it and run premium. It will cost you about $70 and 30mins of your time. Then you will have a badass fast bike. I hate seeing you make all these ridiculous decisions man. Think about it. You have a fast bike that you want and like with several hundred dollars worth of suspension under it and it looks nice. Part out the blue one and keep the motor to build your cub as money allows. Or pull the motor and sell as a complete roller. Personally I think your making a wrong decision here and not thinking it through. You have a great base there to start with and possibly a whole motor to build however you want if you go about it the right way. Then you have a spare motor on the shelf if ever needed. KEEP THE RED ONE, CHANGE THE DOMES, RUN PREMIUM GAS. PART OUT THE BLUE ONE AND KEEP THE MOTOR TO BUILD YOUR CUB MOTOR AS YOU SELL THE PARTS OFF IT. X2 Quote
DallasGDub Posted August 12, 2010 Report Posted August 12, 2010 I am not going to clown you b/c you are young. But do the research and listen to what most people are saying. I ALWAYS look to trustworthy people on these boards for advise. From small things like tires, to big things like building a motor. Quote
DiSkOe*1 Posted August 12, 2010 Report Posted August 12, 2010 put white fenders on it already... put domes in it and learn to ride it tell u can afford a cub..u cant afford gas now... wtf u want to buy a cub for.... as ur lil narrow ass is 55lbs... u will kill urself on a cub... u almost did on a cr85.... but if thats ur dream so be it... i think u need to find out what u got first... pull the head... pull ur head out ur ass... and be safe DiSkOe*1 Quote
AKheathen Posted August 12, 2010 Report Posted August 12, 2010 lol, you guys aren't gonna cconvince me that they boost anything but your ego. the biggest effect would be the half bottle of strait toluene, and that's still mabey 10pts. optomistically. 99% of them simply contain some alchohol, little toluene, little oil, and some fillers. the alchohol is the same stuff they put in heat. heat is just what everyone should be using to cure bad gas, which really works to keep your car running down the road without major water issues, etc. just measure the damn stroke on that thing. stick a peice of solid wire, or stick, or something through the sparkplug hole and measure how far it travles when you turn the engine over. that tells you if it's stock, or 4mill. now, there is common confusion between 4mill stroker, and big bore "4mill" i actually ended up with a set of big bore domes for this reason, so you will need to pull the head anyways to check the domes. i'm sure you can even get cheap used big bore domes, or cheap stroker domes. usually like $30-$40/pr. as far as boosting octane, you aren't getting protection from a booster. ideally, you are trying to get the most energy out of the fuel you need to run, not just trying to keep it from blowing, anyways. who knows, you may find out that that engine is setup for 95 oct, which means you only need to mix a little higher octane fuel with premium. i still find it hard to believe you went and spent more than you should on one set of pt's, then turned around and spent like 500 on some rockets, and then bought this new bike, but something this low in cost will make you take a shit Quote
