stroking2much Posted July 29, 2010 Report Posted July 29, 2010 Hey guys im new to the banshees. i recently traded a dirt bike for a 95 banshee. its in great shape looks like it was well taken care of. I drained the gas when i got it and mixed the gas 32:1 and i got to ride it a few times in the yard and noticed it had a odd popping on the low end on the right side so i was thinking maybe reeds where wore. I took the carbs off and took the reeds out and it had boysen power reeds in it. Just to be curious i pushed the kicker down while i was setting there and i noticed the skirt was broke off right at the top of the intake holes. I took the head off and there was no scars on either cylinder or any signs of bad wear. You can still see the little ribs on the skirts of both pistons. They are wiseco pro lites. Any ideas why the skirt would have broke off? Quote

RadarRacing Posted July 30, 2010 Report Posted July 30, 2010 Detonation can do it as well, so can a loose bore like stated. I just saw a set 2 weeks ago broken too. Hope this isn't going to be an issue with the new cheapo way of doing things at wiseco and making stuff in china from crappy materials etc like they are doing. Quote
