The plug caps are so tight and fit great that I have yet to see a problem with them. I think your question is referencing the actual screw on piece on the top of the spark plug? If it is or isn't I will just give my input. I always run them because it makes the cap fit on a little bit better. Makes it more snug if you know what I mean. If you unscrew the wire and cap have a chance of coming off or not making a secure connection. Quote
