Rear brake light tail light

ok dont know how to say this so i am just going to wing it...... i have a 98 banshee i am looking to see if anyone knows if the make a wiring kit to put on a rear brake light tail light on. i do a lot of night riding and many people have been asking me when i am going to put one on cuz its hard as hell to see me and dont wanna wreak in the dark on a trail.... if anyone knows a web site or have any ideas all would be great thanks

All Banshees 2002 or newer came with a Brake/taillight and 2001 and older have just a taillight. From 97 to 2001 I believe the bikes that went to Maine and New Hampshire had brakelights on them also. Do you want just a tailight or a brake/taillight? If you want just a tailight then you should already have the wires on the bike and you can mount and connect any light you want. If you want a brake/ taillight you could look up the parts for a Maine/New Hampshire bike to get what you need, depending on what website you use to look up the parts they may call out the Maine/New Hampshire bikes seperately or it may be listed as a taillight kit. But be warned that is expensive, one of the switches is $80 and the other is $120. You could also use the parts picture to see what is different andtry to buy used parts off a 2002 or newer bike.

i would like the brake/taillight i ride with a bunch of people and its nice to know when your stopping the trails we r on we r usually running pretty hard. so i would like people to know when im slowing down almost had a few insidences of being ran into. if you know how to search or a web site to go to that would be great im not to worryied about the money rathewr be safe.. i also ride it on the main streets here in arizona i have a 30 day tag n i am working on getting it on the road.. i sure dont wanna get rear ended by a car..

Here is what I tell people. If you dont like it, then dont be behind me. Or keep your distance. I know the stock one is not that bright. I went to the auto store and got a side marker 3 led light and is much brighter then the stock one. Or if you want a cheaper way so people can see you. I take my $10 head lamp from walmart and put it on my helmet backwards on the RED led setting. Gives them another light to see at night when im duning on my banshee. Also helps if someones head lights go out they can use the head lamp to help see or the dirt bikes get back home when the sun goes down. Also another reason why I carry a cheap head lamp is to see when something breaks at night so we can fix it or get it back to camp some how.

i was looking at a rear brake light assembly from a yamaha crotch rocket and riging somthing up to work on the banshee it will deffinatly be custom but i should beable to get it to work this is the peice i was looking at to make it work....
