Hank Posted July 10, 2010 Report Posted July 10, 2010 Can anyone recommend the proper jetting for a stock stroke cheetah cub set up. I am running the stock carbs, 18cc domes and run VP C12 race gas. I am at sea level with temps in the 90's and humid. Thanks Quote
Hank Posted July 24, 2010 Author Report Posted July 24, 2010 Ok got it going with 27.5 pilots and 420 mains. Anyone have a recommendation for needles? I am currently using the needles that came with my Toomey T6 pipe kit and was wondering if there is something better. Thanks... Quote
RadarRacing Posted July 24, 2010 Report Posted July 24, 2010 The toomey needles should work. I wouldn't be able to stand having stock carbs on that thing. You will gain a huge amount with 33-39 mm carbs. Quote
camatv Posted July 24, 2010 Report Posted July 24, 2010 the toomey needles should work very well. last 421 i did with stock carbs i ended up in the 400+ main range also. think it was at 430? but a lil bigger cc than yours. they actually run very suprisingly well with stock carbs. but 35's work much better! just goes to show how much mikuni carbs rely on needle and main jet for jetting and not so much on the pilot. that nearly the same pilot size as stock BUT HUGE main jet. that's the reason i believe so many people like them so much. Hank Posted July 24, 2010 Author Report Posted July 24, 2010 I'm saving my pennies for the bigger carbs so i just wanted to get the most out of this set up for now. Sounds like I am in the ball park. Thanks....Hank Quote
