sinisterboo Posted July 6, 2010 Report Posted July 6, 2010 I use a large bolt to fit into the hex of the threaded retainer, thread that out, the thump bearing from the bottom and it pops out the top! also, that is a very common bearing, and most local auto parts keep it in stock. just take yours in, let em see the number, and there ya go! jasons Posted July 6, 2010 Report Posted July 6, 2010 Thanks alot man! By the way do you have any idea what size the bolt is? i believe its a m16 bolt and nut. i just did mine lastweek. i have if you want it. the nex head is a 30mm. Quote
Vawter69 Posted July 7, 2010 Author Report Posted July 7, 2010 Ok well i got the nut and bolt yesterday and spent about 2 hours trying to get it out. The idiot before me had like painted over it or something and I feel like that's why it wont come out. I found the biggest breaker bar I had and I still couldn't get it. I'm stumped but I have to get this out because the bearing has to be replaced. I'll have to think of something extreme I guess. Quote
jasons Posted July 7, 2010 Report Posted July 7, 2010 soak it with wd40 mine was powdercoated over and it still came out with and good bump with a breaker bar. Quote
SNTBANSHEE Posted July 7, 2010 Report Posted July 7, 2010 Impact wrench and a little heat goes a long way. Quote
