Hello my name is Nate and im new here. Im in the process of rebuilding my 2000 banshee and i cant figure out how to get the steering stem bearing out. Can someone help me? I have tried searching but nothing comes up thats any help at all.

I use a large bolt to fit into the hex of the threaded retainer, thread that out, the thump bearing from the bottom and it pops out the top! also, that is a very common bearing, and most local auto parts keep it in stock. just take yours in, let em see the number, and there ya go!

Thanks alot man! By the way do you have any idea what size the bolt is?

i believe its a m16 bolt and nut. i just did mine lastweek. i have if you want it. the nex head is a 30mm.

Ok well i got the nut and bolt yesterday and spent about 2 hours trying to get it out. The idiot before me had like painted over it or something and I feel like that's why it wont come out. I found the biggest breaker bar I had and I still couldn't get it. I'm stumped but I have to get this out because the bearing has to be replaced. I'll have to think of something extreme I guess.
