MKIII_96 Posted June 22, 2010 Report Posted June 22, 2010 so i ordered 2 shaft seals and a bushing. i was gonna just put a seal in till winter comes then ill put the bushing in and another seal. but i didnt know if maybe the bushing could be replaced somehow without have to tear the motor apart, if it can ill just to it right away. anyone ever do this? bansheesandrider Posted June 22, 2010 Report Posted June 22, 2010 At a minimum, you will have to pull the clutch cover, clutch basket and shift shaft to change the bushing. But if a worn bushing is the cause of your seal leaking, then a new seal probably won't help. The bushing will have to much play and will side load the new seal and cause it to leak also. Quote
