shee2000 Posted June 17, 2010 Report Posted June 17, 2010 could be wrong but if u have a kn and over oiled it could cause sticking of the slides so i would clean the carbs really well n see if that helps Quote
Darthwall Posted June 17, 2010 Report Posted June 17, 2010 never heard it happen but the guides could be worn out figure enough wot for a long time could wear them down Quote
crash&burn Posted June 18, 2010 Report Posted June 18, 2010 What kinda oil do you use? Do you run a synthetic oil? my have stuck before it had to do with the type of oil and weather tempatures.... a little carb clean sprayed in there after running it or rught before going out would clean it right and be fine on mine.... i thought mine might have been those little tabs but it all came down to the oil i used Quote
AKheathen Posted June 18, 2010 Report Posted June 18, 2010 it's happened plenty of times before. it pretty much comes from the slide previously being inserted wrong, and tightening the cap. you can try jb-weld or something, but it might not hold, and then you could have jbweld sucked throut the cyls. i would just replace the carb body. and, to answet your q- they are inserted tightly from the outside of the carb, and then the outter shoulder is pinch/pressed. you can see it when you look. now, if it had just worked back to the outside of the carb, and can go in tightly, then mabey you can glue it back in with a thin film, then re-press the shoulder, mabey.
