TeamRealtreeHD Posted June 4, 2010 Report Posted June 4, 2010 (edited) I somehow lost my top chain roller in the front. The little round one. Will it hurt to ride it like that until I put the new one on over the weekend? Was hoping to make it out this afternoon with a few friends. But am a little afraid without the little chain roller up front there. Edited June 4, 2010 by TeamRealtreeHD Quote
KlotzBanshee Posted June 4, 2010 Report Posted June 4, 2010 You should be fine as long as your chain isn't way out of adjustment. The center and lower rollers get more use than the upper one, most of the time it's just along for the ride. Only when your suspension is near fully compressed does your chain even touch it. You may want to stay away from going for the tripple jump today. Quote
SAVAGE420 Posted June 4, 2010 Report Posted June 4, 2010 I haven't even run that stupid roller for forever now, it's useless if you jump or ride on ruff terrain alot, it will just wear out to nothing in a couple rides. Waist of a few bux don't be afraid Quote

camatv Posted June 5, 2010 Report Posted June 5, 2010 bottom roller, swingarm guide and swingarm rear guide are a must. top roller only good if you want to hear it gring and fall off after a few rides!!.. Quote
WINDYCITYJOHN400 Posted June 6, 2010 Report Posted June 6, 2010 It's missing on everybody's bike....cause it gets ripped apart the first time the entire weight of you and the machine are bouncing on it! Once you replace it a few times you'll just put the cash in a nice case saver and forget the factory ever put one there. Quote
TeamRealtreeHD Posted June 6, 2010 Author Report Posted June 6, 2010 I never had this problem. I rode an entire summer, climbing hills, beating my bike hard. I just simply forgot to tighten it. And remember not tightening it. It stayed on when it was tight lol Quote
