coonster
hay guys just pick up a new (to me) banshee from my co worker. it is a 97 black and red shee. i got told this thy went out to the sand for the weekin. they rode out to the frist punch bowl and see water coming out of the (fas tech) cool haed in it. so they rode it back and notice the some bolt's or hand loose. then they fix it and rode out for about 30 min and guess what happen IT STOP RUNNING. so shee got but in the barn for 2 years (bad co woker). i pick it up for 1000 and took the hand off and seen the damage that they done it. so i took the jug's off and went in and see if they are saveable lucky they are. got the new 65.5 wisco piston and jugs back now it is time to put back togother. so my ques is when i have it all togother what do you guys do for brake in time? i have all ways done this got her started and nice and hot then let her cool down all the way and repete it for a total of five time then i will make a day trip out to the sand and ride them on flat's no long hill's or punch bowl's for the first 5 gal of gas. i have got told that is to much from my pal's. i will try to post some pic's sorry. Holy shit. Okay, let me give this a shot. You are going to get all kinds of different responses. I personally would do 5 heat cycles, like you said, then go easy on it for a tank... then after that, rip the shit out of it.
jbirdshee
Ok first off let's try to put in just a little bit of proper grammar in there, so that way people can actually read what you are trying to say. Thanks
someone82
Wow that made my eyes hurt. Anyway I've always broke my motors in by running through 3 heat cycles and then I re-torque everything in between heat cycles. Then I ride it like a stole it hasn’t failed me once.
