Hey guys I have a set of Pro Circuits pipes I'm about to install on my shee today. Right now I have a set of FMF's installed but there coming off. My question is my bike is jetted for the fmf gold series "not the fattys", after I install the Pro Circuit exhaust will I need to rejet? Im at 290 mains and 25 pilots, not sure on the needles. I have a set of 27.5 pilots should I through them in? My mods are in my sig. Oh yea my elevation is around 850 to 900 and temp is around 70-80's here in Indiana.

I also have one other question. My friend also has a banshee and he is/ has been running this gas mixture at 80:1 and 100:1 is that safe? He swears by it and says its the best mixture for the shee?? I'm running 42:1 now can I bump to 50:1?

use good oil for racing 32 to 1 your engine will last longer and be easier to tune looking at the pspark plugs once in a will witth

Thanks for the info on the gas ratio

I would start with 310 mains and 27.5 pilots

Really the Pro Circuits exhaust is going to require me to jet up that much? Where should I put my needle clips and how many turns out on the A/F screws?

well, the reason certain ils can go lean as 100:1 or 80:1 is the break-down or burn-off rate. he is likeley runing that amsoil dominator, or whatever it is that supports it. the particular oil that can support it hangs out and remains stable, retaininag all it's lube properties more than 2x as long as most other oils. this means that, even though there is so little amounts of the oil being added, there is still the same amount of working oil accumulated at all times. the jetting on the pro-circuits, may need 1 size or be fine, but certain setups have called for as much as 6 sizes increase, as with my personal experience, and from what i've seen many times on here. i went from gen 1 or2 gold series pipes, shown in my sig (yes, i coated them white), to pcp's and thaught i was doing something wrong when i had to jet from 290-310 range to 340-360 range, but that's what the pipes liked, and i even did plug chops, to make sure i wasn't crazy, lol. i'm sure you will notice right away if that is the case with you.

Well I have my 27.5 pilots and 300 mains. I plan to ride this weekend so I really hope the 300's will be enough as thats all I have for now. I really appreciate the help so far guys. I'd still like to get an idea on where I should start with my needles as well. From what I have read 3 groove might be a good starting point??

When I do a plug chop what am I looking for? How will I know if im to lean or rich? Also a plug chop is nothing more then pulling the plug and checking the color correct?

yah, middle setting on the needle is usually the best place to start. if you read the sticky pinned at the top of theis section, it explains the chop, but it's basically just getting the bike warmmed up, then once you are lined up with a good long pull, you put brand new-never run plugs in and start and pinn it all the way through 6th, never letting off, unless you have to blip to shift. once you top out 6th, ot run out of room after pullong wot more than 10 seconds loaded, then you pull the clutch and kill it and don't let the motor turn over until you stop and remove the plugs. put the old ones back in and go ride bqack to chop them and read the ring at the bottom of the porcelin. you want a 2mm chocolate ring all the way around....then you move t the needlles if you need to.
