( runs vp 114 octane race gas. but i would like to know the hp for shaved head and the stock head. ) thanks Dave Quote
SAVAGE420 Posted February 23, 2010 Report Posted February 23, 2010 50-55 maybe if in perfect tune at sea level . If its ported correctly by someone that gives a damn proly some more. But "mild porting" like you say can be anything though from a touch up to whatever. Might be 1-2 HP from stock head to a cut one. But how much is cut and re chambered on this head. IMO you probably don't need VP114 at all, as its proly hurting your power more the anything if its not needed. As i bet they cut your head 30 thou.... What did it kick for compression anyways. Also whats your timing set at on your plate? Quote
Burt Reynolds Posted February 23, 2010 Report Posted February 23, 2010 I would say somewhere between 15 and 70hp Quote
Davebanshee Posted February 23, 2010 Author Report Posted February 23, 2010 the porting was done professionally . i forget by who...ill tell you when i remember. but the head has 52 thou squish... and i will check the psi tomorrow Quote

I run .042 on my motor. What was the PSI before on this motor and recently? And damn man..whats with posting this 4 times in a row. Theres a delete button you can delete the extra ones if you want to. Quote
Davebanshee Posted February 23, 2010 Author Report Posted February 23, 2010 trail port. and i will check the psi tomorrow. i have put the stock head back on it Quote
SAVAGE420 Posted February 23, 2010 Report Posted February 23, 2010 trail port. and i will check the psi tomorrow. i have put the stock head back on it Ok. But i would ditch the VF fuel altogether if your going to run a stock head and on the lower side of comp. It wont do anything for you if you don't have the comp and timing to support it. It will for the most part hurt the performance more then help unless your running alot of comp and a good amount of timing. + its expensive anyways. Why are you sticking the stock head back on now anyways? Quote
Davebanshee Posted February 23, 2010 Author Report Posted February 23, 2010 i bought it with the shaved head on it. and its costing me to much money to ride it. 110$ for 5 gallons Quote
dusty_v141 Posted February 23, 2010 Report Posted February 23, 2010 i have a shaved head on mine because i dont ave the money for a cool head right now. its shaved .30 and i run 93 octane with +4 on the timing. i have went all the way too +7 on 93 and its was fine. so your running way too much octane Quote
