killed300ex Posted February 10, 2010 Report Posted February 10, 2010 I am building a yfz with a banshee motor currently. Its all built and waiting for the machine work on the motor so I can rebuild it and take it for a test run before I tear down for paint. Looking for recommendations on were to even start with jetting I am at 100ft above sea level and its running about 25-30 degrees out. Motor is going to be a 4mil stroker with the last bore on the stock sleeves Beleive its 66 bore?? Weisco pistons running a trinity stage 4 2 into 1 intake with a 38mm pwk carb thats been bored to 39.5mm. Running a dynoport 2 into1 exhaust as well. Not looking for thought on the pipe choice it was easy to make work and I am building a low end torque motor. Has minimal porting mainly case matching and just a quick port to clean it up as the cyls were on the last bore already and ill be adding an after market top end next year. Wondering if you guys had any input as to were to even start with jetting. Quote
Snopczynski Posted February 10, 2010 Report Posted February 10, 2010 (edited) That pipe is a horrible low-mid pipe choice. Even the motofast pipe would have made slightly more power for you. That carb is way too big for your setup, and you would see a ton more power out of something in the 35mm-36mm range for running a single setup. That dynoport pipe is gonna choke out the topend even more making that 39.5mm single carb way too big. I know you said not to give you shit, but that pipe and carb were a horrible setup choice. 200 main jet EEJ needle in center clip position 45 pilot jet a/f screw 1.5-2 turns Edited February 10, 2010 by Snopczynski Quote
