wizeass2005 Posted January 27, 2010 Author Report Posted January 27, 2010 Also are those bite marks gonna mess anything up? Quote
AKheathen Posted January 27, 2010 Report Posted January 27, 2010 well, basically, you get out your feeler gauges and a mic. measure rod side clearance with the feeler gauge, then you have to measure the up-down play in all the bearings. basically, if you grab it squarely without rocking and can feel any, then it's probably out of spec..... the taper looks like it was already resurfaced to seat the flywheel squarely by the pics, but take a little strait edge and run it around the taper to see if it's square.......other than that it should seat just fine Quote
wizeass2005 Posted January 27, 2010 Author Report Posted January 27, 2010 Thanks heath any idea what brand? and is this a good deal for $200 Quote

sleeper06 Posted January 27, 2010 Report Posted January 27, 2010 What does the keyway slot look like, just by looks I wouldnt throw it in,it needs to be checked on v-blocks for true,is there pitting on rod bearing,is it still shiny or bronz, have the rod pins moved at all, send it to a proffesional or call NYUK like someone else said hes a reputable sellar on here and a nice guy Quote
