DannysZ28 Posted December 28, 2009 Report Posted December 28, 2009 I was riding and noticed a little oil film on the swingarm the other day but i did not pay it much attention but i went out riding today and when i got home i noticed oil dripping from right silencer and it was also a little wet around the flange where the exhaust hooks to the cylinder. I did not notice any difference in power, just oily. I tried doing some searches but nothing definite. Do you guys think it is a crank seal? If so how much trouble is it? Is there any tips or tricks to make it easier? Quote
GrMeyer Posted December 28, 2009 Report Posted December 28, 2009 Are you just putt'n around on the bike? Is the weather colder? Is your premix the same? Did you shake up the tank/gas can before riding? I know if i dont ride all out on the bike, there will be build up of oil that doesnt burn off. If your bike has been sitting for sometime, the oil will settle down to the bottom of the tank and when you run the bike, it will run rich on oil. Quote
DannysZ28 Posted December 28, 2009 Author Report Posted December 28, 2009 The bike dont get run alot since the colder weather and i did not shake the bike but i would think it would be coming out of both silencers if that were the problem. I sure hope you are right. I just heard about shaking the bike after doing some searches last night, i will start doing that all the time. I will let the bike warm up then i will take it easy for the first few minutes of riding till i feel like the bike has got warmed up then i will give it hell. Quote
