robert0762 Posted December 26, 2009 Report Posted December 26, 2009 I got some pwk 28's and need some boots to fit the stock box. I have seen everyone say stretch them to fit but I dont like the fact that they try to slide back off so easily. Just dont want them too come loose and I dont know it. Alsodo I have too hack the hooks off the front of the box for it to fir correctly. I need it to sit back futher cause I am gonna need spacers to clear the clutch arm. Quote
SAVAGE420 Posted December 26, 2009 Report Posted December 26, 2009 All i did to fit my 30's is take the air box boots Off, and use a dremel with a small sanding drum bit and shave the inside out all the way around where the carbs will sit. Just lightly and they fit like a glove. Also when you hack the frame mounts off for the air box to move it back some, just zip tie the back holes on the air box where the over flo was to the frame mounts on the back. You "might" have to bend the frame tab mounts down just a cunt hair also so the box will fit/ If for some reason you need pics just holler. Quote
AKheathen Posted December 26, 2009 Report Posted December 26, 2009 well, i didn't have reed spacers to clearance the clutch arm. it just barely would touch the bowl nut. i ended up just tapping the arm down a little and it gave plenty of clearance. it ended up looking level when i was done. i don't know if it's the best idea, but it worked, and that was for mikuni 28 rounds.....
