papa smurf..i ordered the gnarly because i got a hell of a deal on ebay $440 buck shipped for gnarly s and PowerC2's... i compared prices n i decided id rather spend the other 200 on the head...idk i had a full FMF on my blaster which i was really happy with. i work at wal-mart so money is factor:)

AK... i ride in very muddy and dusty conditions... i have a uni filter that i forgot to mention...i wont run anything but uni... iam just worried about moding the air box because of the conditions i ride in...Advice? iam really looking for new jetting advice scene i feel like ive figured out my laundry list or will the previous starting point u gave me the other day be still a good point?

The airbox with the proflow clamp on and lid off works really well! I rode alot of wet stuff with the lid off and never had any problems, the only reason i ditched my airbox is because the shearers wouldnt fit with the airbox!

papa smurf: check out my pic on my profile...ur quad ever look like that? took almost 2 hrs to get all of the mud off lol if the box was off there would def be mud in the box:)

i checked out your profile pic.......i would be more worried if all that mud got washed off..... you can safely mod the lid for better flow without worrying, and you will have to go up 1-2 sizes on the main, then. the rest of the mods should not effect jetting....

List of mods look good.

Do NOT get the ProDesign Timing Plate. Get the Chariot. It's cheaper and billet, and it's the one I use.

I would run stock springs in that bike. Without porting, stock springs with a FAST clutch will hold that motor fine.

Since you're going to be in the trails...you'll be on the clutch alot. Unless you have popeye arms...:)

While you're at it, pickup a new clutch cable and EZ Pull clutch perch. You'll think you died and went to heaven...promise.

yup my quads been that muddy with the lid off before, if youd like just ditch the snorkel, cut the runners out in the lid and install those vents if ya want, but i think you should be fine with the lid off if your not in water up to the seat lol. Some others will chime in with there opinions im sure, ive never had probs with the lid off.

well, my stock springs didn't hold up to the woods abuse and a low rpm torque pipe. i chewed through 1/2 its' life in a couple hours. by the time i got it out on the road, it was slipping really bad. i adjusted it up, but still........

You'll be all set without an airbox lid with the proflow adapter. Thats what i run on the trails never get water in my airbox. the box is surrounded anyways no mud gets in there.

is this what ur talking about?
