I need to choose between the rocket and the paul tuner high rev for my RZ set-up and I would like to have some input before to buy it. thanks Quote
278 Posted November 24, 2009 Report Posted November 24, 2009 Im not sure what the duration should be at for port duration on the Rockets. Im assuming that if your at 194* on the exhaust that you have a dune port, right around a good mid dune port... I do know of a few people that have dune port 4mil. motors that went from Toomey T-5s to Rockets and loved them. Quote
tommy346 Posted November 24, 2009 Author Report Posted November 24, 2009 i went from toomey t-5's to rockets and i do like the rockets over the toomeys. and the huge pipe look looks good on my bike lol. my exhaust duration is set for t-5 pipes so thats why i was asking if it needed changed. Quote
278 Posted November 24, 2009 Report Posted November 24, 2009 T-5's if I remember right really start doing well right around 185-187 on up to about the range your in, the rockets I believe start doing well at a little higher but the 194 duration I believe is in that range of the rockets Quote
tommy346 Posted November 24, 2009 Author Report Posted November 24, 2009 yea, the guy who did my port work has CPI's on his abd runs about a 198 duration. he was telling me i should try that to get a bit more top end out of it. and also he told me reeds and raising my compression would help too Quote

Quote
tommy346 Posted November 25, 2009 Author Report Posted November 25, 2009 the bottom end is actually better with the rockets IMO. i can ride low rpm wheelies now, before i couldnt get the front end to come up in low rpm. and the sound is something else!! Quote
278 Posted November 26, 2009 Report Posted November 26, 2009 Well it depends on what kind of riding you do. Rockets aren't really top end pipes so you want to stick with that mid port you have. What might help is, can we get a list of mods you have Quote
tommy346 Posted November 26, 2009 Author Report Posted November 26, 2009 (edited) i mostly woods ride and drag race alot. mods are: rocket pipes of course, milled head running 135 psi, toomey 2 into 1 filter, oh and the ever popular boost bottle lol. jetting is 280 mains with stock pilots, stock needles in the 3rd clip Edited November 26, 2009 by tommy346 Quote
tommy346 Posted November 27, 2009 Author Report Posted November 27, 2009 you have bone stock reeds??? yes, stock reeds and cages Quote
