00sheerzr Posted November 22, 2009 Report Posted November 22, 2009 i kinda feel like i got ripped off , i traded my 04 rmz 250 which by my opinion was a piece of shit and had no compression it needed valves and top end for what i thought was a 2000 shee, and when i went to check the vin it was a 1992 the quad could def pass as a 2000 it looks brand new , its in mint condition and all stock ,o ya i also gave him 300 bucks, what do you guys think, i called the guy i bought it from and bitched him out but i think it as a bad decision on my part for not checking before i traded, he also said he could not get the bike started after i gave it to him so i guess thats what he get for not being honest Quote
T_Shee Posted November 22, 2009 Report Posted November 22, 2009 i wouldnt be too worried over it. there is almost no difference between those two years (diff stator plug the only thing i can think of) as long as it runs and looks good i wouldnt worry over the year. when i got mine the guy said it was a 02, turns out its a 89 with a arm frame lol. but in the end year doesnt mean much on a banshee. got any pics Quote

someone82 Posted November 22, 2009 Report Posted November 22, 2009 Like T-shee said, don't worry about it, hell my bike has a "'98" motor in it, my new frame was originally registered as a '91. I came to find out it was a new un-stampped frame from Yamaha, and now my bike is registered as a 2009 Special build bike by the state of california.... Quote
vulvafan537240 Posted November 22, 2009 Report Posted November 22, 2009 looks pretty good for a 92. mine was supposed to be a 98 but the VIN on the motor says its a 94. cant tell what the frame VIN is, its been painted. it doesnt matter though. theyre all the same except the early j arm models. SandRageShee Posted November 22, 2009 Report Posted November 22, 2009 copy and paste the IMG code from photobucket and dont feel bad..my personal bike went from a 1987 with a 2001 motor and now its a 2005 rolling chassis with a 2001 motor and a 97 rear shock from PEP haha but i wouldnt worry its a banshee .. 99.8% of everything is interchangeable Quote
